Position Details

We are looking for someone to embrace a broad range of tasks associated with developing application and systems solutions to address business challenges. Sitting in this position will help expand your knowledge, strengthen your expertise and introduce you to the inner workings of our business alongside a team of seasoned, diversely-skilled technology professionals. What you bring:

  • The experience. You have experience developing new search-based services. Your passion is for Java development, but you are open to learning new technologies like Guidewire.
  • The knowledge. You’re very comfortable developing microservices in Java, but you can also work in C#. You have exposure to front end technologies .
  • The agile approach. You’re most comfortable working with (and sometimes leading) an agile team. You can balance the need for complete documentation with the promise of validated learning. You know how to realize the potential of agile and lean approaches.

Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

  • 2-6 years relevant experience.
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of the business, technical environment, standards, processes, procedures, programming languages and operating systems.
  • Readiness and motivation (as an experienced developer and subject matter expert) to address and resolve complex issues, guide/advise/support clients, partners and project teams, often working on multiple medium-to-large sized projects.
  • Commitment to and belief in the quality of your deliverables.

Must Have Skills

 

  • Strong experience with JAVA (J2EE), Spring Framework Spring/Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful API, Data Structures, Maven, Hibernate, JBoss, SQL\\
  • Hands-on experience with XML, JSON, MQ, JMS
  • Strong understanding of Git workflow

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in the Property and Casualty industry
  • Web-based development experience in combination with Java applications
