As a member of the largest revenue generating team of the organization, the purpose of the Manager, Accounts is to inspire TIFF’s partners to financially support the activities of TIFF through mutually beneficial partnerships, working towards a collective annual revenue target. 

Reporting to a Senior Manager in Corporate Partnerships, departmental activities are designed to cultivate, service, renew, upgrade and steward a prescribed portfolio of corporate partners to engage them in our mission to transform the way people see the world through film, while helping partners meet their business objectives. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a portfolio of 10+ mid-to-high level corporate partner accounts, (which may include leading the day-to-day relationship for one of TIFF’s Major Partner accounts) contributing to the organization’s financial sustainability through maximized revenue from corporate partners. 
  • Ensure all terms of partnership agreements are fulfilled and that the highest level of account service is delivered, including the delivery of Festival how-to guides and specifications (Welcome Kit) by end of April, post-mortem reports (Summary Report) by end of November. 
  • Reach specific renewal and upsell targets each year as set out in the annual Performance Agreement by identifying and presenting new partnership opportunities for current partners that bring additional value to TIFF and the partner while aligning with TIFF’s strategic pillars / objectives. 
  • Be an internal advocate for your partners, working collaboratively with all relevant internal departments to develop, implement and fulfill promotional initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met against agreements. 
  • Act as Partnerships team representative for relevant tasks that may include Festival Production meetings, Industry Partnerships, Partner Consortium Events, Critical Path, etc., to create, enhance, and execute cross-departmental revenue streams and operations related to partnerships. 
  • Build positive relationships with all corporate partners, focused on periodic, enhanced stewardship opportunities and annual objectives-setting.
  • Effective people management when required; including goal setting, professional development, coaching and consistent feedback, to have the motivation and training to deliver the required levels of performance. 
  • Manage team members as needed – Assistant/Intern/Co-op student-level. 
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth transition in the handover of new partners, to ensure consistency of service. 
  • As-requested, participate in brainstorms and working groups to identify and develop sustainable revenue generating opportunities for current accounts/new business partnerships on a local to international scale. 
  • Participate in cross departmental subject matter advisory groups (e.g. cultural community resource groups).

  • January 4, 2022

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of sponsorship/partnerships or relevant relationship management or equivalent experience in a related field will be considered. 
  • Related post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or arts organization is considered an asset.
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
