Job Description

Under minimal supervision, provides support to intermediary (Broker/Dealers and Trusts) and back office personnel on trade processing, clearance & settlement, and other related operations functions. Facilitate the resolution of Intermediary and Fund service platform driven operational challenges, including varying degrees of inbound and outbound communication with a telephone emphasis.

Must possess, or quickly obtain, a solid understanding of Bank of New York Mellon platforms including: domestic transfer agent systems and cross-border transfer agent systems. Must also possess, or quickly obtain, a detailed working knowledge of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) platforms for trading (Fund/SERV) and account setup & maintenance (Networking).

Position also requires that constructive and productive relationships be cultivated with external Fund and Intermediary partners. The position will be required to develop such relationships with specified firms for which the candidate will own the relationship.

Communication Skills:
Presents to, or exchanges information with, team members as well as outside the work group. Outside the work group includes intra-departmental as well as external to the company. Participates in group meetings and have an active role. Respond to moderately complex inquiries. Relays to, and gathers routine information from, employees and/or outside vendors and customers. Drafts responses and occasionally complex correspondence under own signature.

Quality:
Identifies errors or problems and independently investigates; recommends solutions to team members and management team. Coordinates data preparation, reviews operations documentation and recommends changes to improve operating objectives and/or compliance.

Supervision Received:
Works under limited supervision. Follows established procedures, plans own work, suggests methods and procedures for new work assignments, and reviews with management for input/approval.

Associates degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 2-3 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in transfer agency operations preferred.
