Full-Time EDI Co-ordinator

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity at BDP for an experienced Equality Diversity and Inclusion Co-ordinator to join our team to design and develop initiatives that will translate our plans and strategy into actions that will change our culture.

 

BDP has created a network of volunteers called BDPBelonging which is led by a group of directors and employees. The network strives to design and help deliver initiatives and policies to embed the behaviours that will make us an inclusive organisation where everyone has a sense of belonging.  

BDPBelonging representatives and our local ally groups are your key internal stakeholders, together with our marketing and shared value professionals. You will also engage with external consultants and experts to introduce guidance and best practice to mainstream and embed best practice into all aspects of our day-to-day activities and strategic planning.

The EDI Co-ordinator will be responsible to BDPBelonging for overall performance, guidance and delivery and will work in conjunction with the HR Director and the Principal EDI Lead.  

Research and analysis of data to support BDPBelonging in strategic planning to improve the position for each protected characteristic, defining metrics to measure performance against plans and engaging with policy owner will be critical to the success of the role.

 

About you

Ideally, you will have most of the following:

  • Expert knowledge of current and emerging EDI policy, trends, best practice and legislation    
  • Evidence of working in an advisory capacity with a range of stakeholders
  • Play a pivotal part in helping stakeholders to address any challenges they may have around equality, diversity and inclusion 
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced role
  • Ability to research, produce reports, analyse statistics, make recommendations, develop and drive SMART action plans
  • Ability to adapt and flex to stakeholder needs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and to influence decision-making that leads to change
  • Experience of working with internal Marketing and Communications team to reinforce messages
  • Experience of delivering EDI training events 
  • Experience of compiling and analysing diversity data and trends and running surveys
  • Positive attitude, resourceful with a high degree of integrity, professional ethics, respect and sense of responsibility  
  • Passionate about EDI at all levels and ability to work with colleagues to champion our EDI agenda 
  • High standard of  organisational and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines
