About the role
Bravely is looking for a Finance Manager to join the Finance and Business Operations team. You will work closely with team members, business partners, and senior leadership to support the company’s overall financial health, investment, performance, and growth strategies.
We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented individual who strives for excellence in their work and is excited at the idea of a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What you’ll do

    • Lead analytical projects that assist and influence the business strategies, report trends on key financial metrics
    • Support ad-hoc reporting requests from department heads and investors to assess financial implications of decisions and investment plans
    • Drive annual department-level budgeting and quarterly reforecast process with scenario planning
    • Execute monthly financial closing process and reconciliation in timely manner
    • Prepare financial statements and investigate variances between actuals and budget
    • Oversee accounting tasks and help develop and maintain processes to drive greater efficiency and strengthen internal controls in the areas of  accounts receivable; billings & collections; commissions; reconciling bank accounts; insurance; and company filing on time
    • Aid in implementing software and tools to modernize and scale the finance function

About you

      • You have 5+ year experience in finance or accounting
      • You have a strong understanding of US GAAP and relevant accounting standards
      • You have the ability to think strategically and analytically
      • You have advanced proficiency in MS Excel formulas and functions
      • You have experience using Quickbooks and other systems like bill.com, Stripe, Tableau, Expensify etc
      • You are a highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and work with ambiguity

Work from where it WORKS for you. We are a fully distributed remote team with an office in New York. Our team is now 100% fully distributed and remote. We will eventually offer the option to be a hybrid in New York. We will not require employees located in NY to come into the office. We support flexible work policies for greater work-life balance.
