Energy Programme Manager – Up to £70,000 p/a
2 Year Fixed Term Contract, with a possibility of 3 years extension subject to funding

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, driven & strategic thinking individual to take on the pivotal role of enabling the successful delivery of a pipeline of strategic energy projects and low carbon investment programme.
With one of the UK’s major industrial clusters based around Ellesmere Port, Cheshire and Warrington is playing an important role in the creation of the UK’s first net zero carbon industrial cluster by 2040, sponsored by the Government’s Industrial Clusters Mission. In addition, Invest Net Zero Cheshire has developed a £1bn pipeline of projects to deliver complete decarbonisation of the cluster with the potential to establish this part of the North West as a leader in low carbon energy technology.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced professional who knows how to work within the public sector to bring private sector projects to delivery. Work will involve addressing market failures, navigating the planning system, resolving financial viability issues, and assisting project sponsors with business cases and grant funding or other investment.
Skills and Experience Required
- Excellent communication skills
- Extensive experience of working with senior management and a range of public and private sector stakeholders
- A strong understanding of the energy and climate change policy agenda, industrial decarbonisation, and industry trends is highly desired
