NEDERLANDER NATIONAL MARKETS – MARKETING MANAGER

 

Nederlander National Markets, based in Chicago, one of the largest presenters of Broadway series and engagements across North America, seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with arts marketing experience to serve as a Marketing Manager.

 

REPORTING TO: Senior Marketing Manager

 

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate the strategy, implementation and execution of comprehensive marketing and press campaigns for multiple tertiary touring Broadway series markets.
  • Develop and maintain media/corporate sponsorships in assigned markets.
  • Manage event-related communications to subscribers, donors, customers, and media in assigned markets.
  • Serve as a liaison with presenter management, venue personnel and national tour representatives to ensure alignment on marketing strategy and advertising budgets.
  • Implement paid and negotiate trade media for multiple shows and subscription campaigns in assigned markets.
  • Coordinate the purchase of digital, ecommerce, TV, print, radio, direct mail and outdoor through appropriate channels per project in assigned markets.
  • Develop and disseminate event press releases; and coordinate advance and in-town press and promotional opportunities.
  • Coordinate and implement social media campaigns with national tour representative and venue marketing staff.
  • Manage advertising budgets and provide Operations with a comprehensive settlement kit per project.
  • Ongoing development of assigned markets generally requires annual travel.
  • Collaborate with graphic designer, local contractors, and venue personnel to implement campaigns.
  • Coordinate design and distribution of event programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing department to ensure successful strategies are shared, sales are maximized and assist on other projects as needed.

 

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years previous experience in live entertainment marketing preferred, but not necessary.
  • Experience with direct purchase of digital advertising (Facebook, Google Search)
  • Administrative skills, including knowledge of MS packages (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including effective listening and negotiating
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in multiple markets to prioritize a varied workload and work to
  • Experience with multiple ticketing systems a plus.
  • Theatre interest and knowledge is a strong plus.

 

Salary commensurate with experience.
