While this position is based in New York City, office colocation will be contingent on stay-at-home orders; until then, all employees are working remotely.

Overview
We’re looking for a data-driven and experiment-oriented engineer to come learn and execute on new growth strategies. You’ll help more leaders find what they need to succeed in the fast-paced business world through Morning Brew, from discovery of our newsletters and stories to becoming an evangelizer and superfan of our products. You’ll collaborate with our growth and product teams to contribute to our team’s productivity and the success of our millions of users. This role sits within Product and reports to the Director of Engineering.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
– Collaborate with marketing product management and product design to ultimately grow audiences to all Morning Brew platforms.
– Set up and scale a data-driven analytics and experimentation infrastructure and event tracking using Google Analytics, Google Optimize, Google Tag Manager, etc.
– Build growth strategies by developing experiments and coding our ideas into features that move the needle on key metrics, including conversion, retention, and virality.
– Designing and implementing A/B tests to improve conversion, optimize site flow, and drive revenue
– Continuously improving our subscriber referral program to gain new subscribers
– Analyze data, automate processes, and provide recommendations on ways to measurably improve our product and services.
– Technical improvements to improve our SEO scores to increase visits to our website
– Be the subject matter expert in marketing and growth technology; understand our existing platform landscape and how to optimize it
What makes you qualified?
– 2+ years of experience
– You’re growth minded, always looking for new opportunities for our future audience to find us
– You have a passion for and excitement to work in a fast paced environment
– You have a knowledge of SEO best practices
– Worked for a media or content-based company is a big plus
– Existing experience in growth technologies is a big plus
– Strong Javascript fundamentals
– Experience using Next.js & Reactjs
– Familiarity with Typescript and GraphQL
– Familiarity with tools and best practices around testing your code
