Full-Time Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The HR Coordinator contributes to the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, including the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs; administration of the hiring, onboarding, orientation, and the exit process for employees.  This individual will have experience in maintaining employee information within an HRIS platform with the focus on improving employee data and HR processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administration support for the recruitment and new-hire processes, including job postings, background checks, pre-employment physical coordination, onboarding, I-9 verification, new hire training and new employee orientation
  • HRIS administration of employee changes
  • Create ad hoc reports utilizing HRIS software Ultimate Software/UKG
  • Assist with compliance reporting including but not limited to EEO-1 report, OSHA report, etc.
  • Administration of the employee exit process
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
  • Reviews HR email account and responds or distributes to appropriate person for response
  • First point of contact for employee inquiries
  • Administration of employee manuals, HR policies and practices
  • Perform administrative work involving HR functions and maintain related records
  • Lead and drive HR projects with direction of supervisor
  • Assist with labor/workers compensation postings
  • Ad hoc projects and additional support to the HR Group and other groups as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years of experience in human resources
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience with HRIS software required, preferably Ultimate Software/UKG
  • Technology/data mindset highly preferred
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use independent judgment in reaching decisions
  • Proven ability to create strong relationships across all levels within an organization
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • High degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Prior experience within a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong commitment to providing a high level of customer service
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft programs
