The Development Coordinator (Children’s Miracle Network) will be responsible for meeting fundraising goals and managing a portfolio of donors. The ideal candidate will have a background in gaming and social media fundraising; streaming experience is a big plus.  This person must have experience navigating gaming community platforms to activate events and succeed in this role.

This Development Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • A portfolio of donors and assisting in reaching financial goals
  • Assisting in developing, growing, and managing aspects of a specified giving/donor program or programs with emphasis on maximizing revenue and building long-term relationships for the future
  • Creating and implementing an annual program strategy. Collaborating with relevant parties to coordinate schedule and confirm optimal opportunities. May serve as liaison with external vendors to coordinate activities and materials. Responsible for program logistics and follow-up
  • Creating, overseeing and monitoring the departmental budget associated with the programs
  • Managing relevant database inputs, gift processing, maintenance and data reconciliations
  • Maintaining strong network of donors and potential donors through a variety of approaches influenced by the program type, mission and demographics. Responsible for implementing a planned approach to reach donors and to track results
  • Coordinating and managing volunteers
  • Providing general office support, including answering the phone, filing, sending and retrieving faxes and scheduling hospital visits and events for prospective donors, as appropriate
  • Interacting with or visit donors / potential donors. May provide backup for handling donor calls
  • Writing, drafting and editing letters, agreements, proposals, articles, reports, acknowledgements, case materials, briefings and donor correspondences for hospital, as appropriate
  • Providing guidance and training to development staff and interns

To qualify you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of previous experience in development, marketing or customer service
  • Experience in gaming and social media fundraising, strongly preferred
  • Experience navigating gaming and streaming community platforms, strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, high level of productivity, advanced multi-tasking abilities, and a solution-oriented performer
  • Superior communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Strong technical skills in general software programs (MS Office) and the ability to develop proficiency in specific database management systems
  • Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel to donor meetings and events throughout New England
