About the role

As we continue to scale across industries and geographies, Nava is growing our high-performing Sales Development team. You’ll have the opportunity to directly impact the bottom line by acting as an evangelist for our mission and driving revenue for a rapidly growing start-up. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, possess a superior work ethic, and have the poise and communication skills to effectively handle objections and tell the Nava story.

Responsibilities

  • Drive pipeline growth by setting up high-quality meetings for our closing team through phone calls and email.
  • Qualify leads by learning about the prospect’s current benefits programs and healthcare pain points.
  • Craft and deliver strategic messaging to continually improve prospect engagement metrics.
  • Utilize our proprietary prospecting technology to build your target account list – there will be limited manual prospecting required in this role!
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations leadership to improve and refine sales-related initiatives (process, culture, career development, etc.)

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2+ years of professional experience; ideally in a sales or client-facing role (internships ok!). Experience as an SDR (or equivalent) at a tech company is preferred but not required.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication. You aren’t afraid to pick up the phone to speak with prospective customers (expect a lot of cold calling!)
  • Motivation to join a small, close-knit team and help build and improve processes.
  • A growth mindset – you have an appetite for learning and the ability to receive and act-on feedback.
  • An unparalleled work ethic – we’re building a disruptive company from scratch and everyone needs to pull their weight

Nava is officially headquartered in New York City, but our team collaborates remotely from all parts of the country. Each day we “Zoom in” from the surf towns of SoCal to the ski towns of the Rockies; from the high deserts of the Southwest to the high rises of Manhattan.
