Your Impact

    • Assist with the design and development of the core database system functionalities
    • Come up with innovative ideas to improve performance and scalability in a large-scale platform
    • Implement comprehensive functional and system-test for your area of responsibility and for overall database quality
    • Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defects
    • Assist Engineering team members in creating highly performant SQL

Responsibilities

    • Expertise in Database Administration and Engineering with one or more of the following technologies MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, AWS, Redshift, EC2, NoSQL databases
    • Experience with object-oriented programming in any of the following languages: Ruby, Go, Scala, Java
    • Experience building a high-performance large-scale platform
    • Perform DBA tasks in Production, Testing, and Development environments, such as Monitoring, Security, Performance Tuning, Authentication, Capacity Planning, Troubleshooting
    • Strong understanding of data structures, design patterns, concurrency, and scalability
    • Strong understanding of schema design and SQL development
    • Strong experience in Query analysis, Design, and Optimization
    • Experience scaling complex relational database systems
    • Develop scalable, resilient and fault tolerant transactional and distributed systems
