Full-Time Healthcare Quality Manager

The Quality Manager drives quality improvement efforts and monitors programs designed to improve the quality of health care delivery all AACI Health Center locations. The role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical quality improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager continuously identifies and implements ways to maximize efficiency, productivity, and resource allocation, taking the lead in QI activities including patient satisfaction surveys, referral tracking systems, audits, health and safety issues, peer review reports, staff credentials, recredentialling, and privileging.

Job Responsibilities

  • Defines and documents Health Center QI performance and standards. Identifies and tracks effectiveness, and operational metrics of Health Center processes.
  • Leads efforts to identify, evaluate, control, and reduce risks with the goal of preventing harm to patients, visitors, and staff.  Assists the clinical management in risk case management.
  • Reviews data and continually assesses progress and recommends interventions to achieve AACI’s Quality Improvement and integrated service goals.
  • Designs data collection strategies and reporting formats.
  • Engages with Behavioral Health quality team, creating alignment on core agency quality measures.
  • Facilitates preparation for board QI committee meetings and presentations.
  • Serves as a member of the agency’s Compliance/QI Committee, participates in Board QI meetings.
  • Implements quality improvement learning sessions.
  • Supervises QI staff and volunteers. Ensures all appropriate training and professional development for QI staff.
  • Facilitates ongoing and new Patient-Centered Medical Home assessment and recognition processes.
  • Takes the lead in the completion of local, state, federal and county and health plan reports and audit preparation.
  • Completes reporting of FQHC grant deliverables, creates reports, and collects supporting documentation.
  • Prepares and files UDS and OSHPD reports.
  • Oversees the credentialing and privileging processes for the Health Center and coordinates with Human Resources Department.
  • Participates in interdepartmental and agency-wide projects to fulfill goals outlined in the agency strategic plan

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in health, administration, or related field preferred or comparable work experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a health care setting
  • Nursing or related health professional experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of FQHC and HRSA requirements.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA
  • Experience tracking and monitoring deliverables for grants and audits.
  • Solid analytical, planning and communication skills.
  • Proficient in researching, interpreting, and analyzing diverse data and possess the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required. Database skills and experience preferred.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining policies and procedures, contracts management, and proposal writing preferred.
  • Solid understanding of health care/clinical QI processes
  • Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential backgrounds
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
