Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Services, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing a variety of day to day warehouse activities including receiving coordination, warehousing, integrity and accuracy of inventory, and timely distribution of all inventories to NLC customers, both internal and external. The Supervisor creates and executes the daily operational plan, overseeing all activities. This includes direct supervision of all subordinates ensuring a safe, healthy and respectful workplace, coaching and mentoring staff; promoting a team atmosphere and a positive culture. Key responsibililities include:
 Coordinate, plan and execute the daily receiving of all inbound receiving; establishing priorities; monitoring progress and problem resolution. Ensure safe handling of goods; inventory accuracy; date sensitive review; product rotation and storage of product adhering to design principles. Continually review processes for improvement.
 Review daily shipping schedules to ensure all customer orders are received; review case volumes and create a plan utilizing available personnel and equipment to complete requirements; manage workflow by monitoring progress and reassigning duties as required. Continually reviews processes and procedures to ensure improved operational efficiency.
 Manage the workforce to meet and exceed budgeted warehouse key performance indicators through continuous planning, reviewing and implementing productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
 Plan, drive and deliver the communication of all new initiatives and review of existing, policies and procedures.
 Understand, support and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies, programs, and procedures by communicating and promoting health and safety awareness to coworkers and subordinates.
 Train and certify applicable employees in the safe use and operation of electric forklift, pallet truck, Wav-50 and any other power equipment used within the warehouse. Implement standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
 Lead, direct and instruct employees and contractors in the safe performance of their duties when working in hazardous rated areas of the operation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
 Completion of Post-secondary education in Business Administration, and/or Supply Chain / Logistics or related discipline.
 Three years Supervisory experience in a large fast paced computerized warehouse.
 Experience with mechanical warehouse equipment, such as forklift, electric pallet jacks and dock equipment.
 Certification in Warehouse Equipment Training would be an asset.
 Experience with handheld RF technologies, for shipping, receiving and inventory purposes.
 Knowledge and skills in the use of computer software including MS Office and a Warehouse Management System.
 Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaboration and organizational abilities;
 A combination of training, education and experience may be considered.

Salary: HL 13 – $48,997 – $63,696 annually
