The ASU+GSV Summit:

Started in 2010 with a collaboration between Arizona State University (ASU) and Global Silicon Valley (GSV), the annual ASU GSV Summit connects the leading minds focused on transforming society and business around learning and work. Check out this year and years past on our YouTube channel here.


Who we are looking for:

We are looking for our VP of Global Partnerships to bring in new sponsor revenue generation in conjunction with the annual ASU+GSV Summit as well as any additional satellite events/opportunities that occur within the portfolio. This person will report to our Head of Global Alliances on the ASU+GSV Summit team. The ideal person will have experience selling sponsorships and creating partnerships in the education and even EdTech space.

The Role:

  • Cultivate and close NEW sponsor partners, building long-term relationships with partners
  • Focus on relationship-based sales with an emphasis on listening and creating programs that reflect partner objectives
  • Provide best-in-class support and service to partners
  • Keep records of leads, activities, sales, revenue
  • Meet and exceed stated revenue goals
  • Work from a home office with a virtual team
  • Provide exemplary on-site (when required) partner support at all relevant GSV events

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven success as a salesperson in an independent environment
  • Event sponsorship sales experience a must
  • Education technology industry experience and knowledge preferred
  • Motivation for prospecting
  • Superior presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Strong writing, grammar/punctuation, and editing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite
  • BS/BA in marketing, communication, or relevant field
  • Ability to take direction and see projects through based on that direction
  • Very Strong multi-tasking skills required
  • High attention to detail a must
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual who takes personal responsibility and pride in their work
