Full-Time Vice President, Content Strategy

Job Description

Univision is seeking a dynamic executive to lead the content strategy and scheduling team including planning and executing the channel lineup.  It’s a central role within the content team in defining and executing the content strategy. The role will work in partnership with various departments within the company to drive success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement the content strategy with focus on accomplishing key content KPIs including audience acquisition, retention and growth.

  • Oversee the channel curation and sequencing including categorizing channels, defining the channel EPG and curating the VOD section based on research and data.

  • Inform stakeholders of upcoming channel launches and key tentpole events.

  • Work in collaboration with the content partnerships team to define the content acquisitions needs.

  • Work closely with the content operations team to monitor ingestion process and update launches accordingly.

  • Continually assess the competitive market to expertly guide strategic direction.

  • Collaborate with the creative team and define assets requirements.

  • Manage the content scheduling team by establishing key performance metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 15 years of programming and scheduling management experience in television, cable network, MVPD or multi-faceted digital background

  • Expertise in leveraging data and analytics to inform programming and scheduling strategies.

  • Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and the ability to react quickly and intelligently

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to influence and work effectively across internal and external organizations

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proactive and self-sufficient with extensive experience in content programming and scheduling.

  • Expertise in programming across multiple genres among all demos

  • Proven ability to create results and expertise in the US Hispanic market

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to work from office in New York, NY or Miami, FL

  • Employment/education will be verified

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
