ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Contract Senior Designer working within the Creative team — reporting to the Senior Art Director — you are able to connect design across all channels of User experience. You will work closely with the Web Product Team, the Transactional User Experience (TUX), Browser User Experience (BUX) and UX teams to ensure creative concepts developed for the marketing channels are translated faithfully across all channels of user experience. Armed with a thorough understanding of the tech/coding guard rails, you will partner with the product manager, developer, QA analyst and user experience manager to design and iterate on new/existing interfaces, flows, and messaging. You will update the web style guide as we evolve the capabilities of the website.

ABOUT YOU

You can step back and see the whole picture, where everything connects—and you can zoom in to finesse the tiniest details. You are equally comfortable working within the Creative team, with an impeccable design sense for layout, typography, composition and color as well as partnering with the product web team and marketing stakeholder team members in order to achieve high design standards. You don’t consider something complete until the kerning or QA is just right, and you love a detailed style guide. You know when to be flexible, but always maintain high standards for original concepts and detailed executions. You love visual storytelling, branding, and experimenting with new ideas. You have a strong desire to push the Uncommon Goods brand forward.
