As more companies move key parts of their business to the cloud, it’s critical to ensure that data and information are secure. Two functions that play a key role are developers and security teams. To date, innovation has been focused on development teams – who can now do more, faster. The security teams are not able to keep up and that creates risk for the organization.

The Challenge:  
We are looking for an enthusiastic Recruiter to join our team! This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is driven, creative, and has a bias for action. Oak9 is a fast-growing startup in an exciting space. We’re building a SaaS product that serves the developer and SecOps community making it important for you to have a strong technical understanding. You’ll be responsible for sourcing, screening, scheduling, and selecting candidates. With that, you should have a knack for coaching hiring managers to make good people decisions. Since recruiters play a crucial role in influencing our interview process, so it’s important to us that you value keeping oak9 a diverse and inclusive workplace. We have two major goals on the recruiting team: (1) Hire amazing, qualified, unique coworkers and (2) give every candidate (hired or not) a great experience with oak9. Like all new additions to our team, we want you to bring your unique experience to our team to make us even better!

The Skillset

    • 3+ years of full-cycle corporate recruiting experience
    • Experience recruiting for technical roles like Software Engineers, Security Engineers, Software Architects, DevOps, etc
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills – you’ll be working with multiple hiring managers, communicating directly with candidates, and crafting email outreach and job descriptions
    • Exposure to applicant tracking systems (we use Lever!)
    • Creative recruiting solutions to help build a fast-growing technical organization

In 30 days, you will…

    • Get to know oak9! Learn about our systems, processes, people, and vision
    • Become intimately familiar with cloud service provider offerings and security considerations associated with them
    • Conduct Recruiting Kickoffs with hiring managers to align on the candidate profile and interview process
    • Begin recruiting for your first hires!

In 60 days, you will…

    • Build job descriptions for new positions
    • Iterate and make improvements to the oak9 candidate journey
    • Advise and construct interview assessments to bring objectivity to our evaluations and reduce bias
    • Help create interview training for new and experience interviewers

In 90 days, you will…

    • Maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for future opportunities
    • Expand the oak9 recruiting brand
