We are looking for a talented Product Engineering Specialist to join our team specializing in Current Product Improvement – Applications and Customer Engineering for our Engine Business in Columbus, In / your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• The position is in Applications and Customer Engineering (ACE) team, which delivers solutions for component and system related issues on a variety of On and off-highway engine platform.
• The candidate will lead business critical product improvement projects that are within the scope of the ACE team.
• Applies and improves processes or tools required to support the day to day work and enable high quality decision making.
• Function as a local subject matter expert (on at least one component), coach peers for technical direction and application of problem-solving tools or processes. manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status to leadership.
• Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Possess strong technical, analytical, critical thinking and leadership skills, and will thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team-based work environment
• Working knowledge of Finite Element analysis (FEA), 1-D Dynamic analysis, DVA, GT-Suite(preferred), engine data acquisition, engine data analysis.
• Working knowledge of one key subsystem such as front-end accessory drive (FEAD) or mounting hardware components is preferred. Prior experience in product validation management for engine components is desirable.
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
