Full-Time Technical Consultant (API Integration)

Responsible for partnering with internal and external clients to implement new APIs being developed on Black Knight’s new API Gateway platform. Provides technical direction while guiding clients through the implementation cycle.


  • Works directly with a client to implement Black Knight’s new API Gateway platform to resolve operational issues and allow for third party integration opportunities
  • Manages projects or project sub-plans by developing, coordinating and controlling the steps necessary to carry out a project within established time frame, quality and requirements.
  • Investigates client needs, regulations, and technology to provide input into the integration opportunities
  • Elicits and clearly defines client needs by assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential business solutions.
  • Prepares and updates written material and explanations to accompany systems, programs, and program changes.
  • Coordinates and executes testing and configurations
  • Provides vendor relations and client support, training and testing within the area of expertise.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.


  • Experience with JSON/REST
  • Experience with YAML/Swagger
  • Experience with OAuth and API Keys
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools such as Splunk
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting deployments (Azure/AWS)
  • Third party integration experience is a plus


  • Knowledge of mortgage industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with Black Knight products and services (MWS and/or API Gateway)
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, processes, phases and roles of multiple applications development methodologies
  • Proficiency in quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets the needs of the client/business partner
  • Advanced knowledge of implementation methodologies and the basic principles, processes, phases and roles relevant to each implementation
  • Ability to understand and focus on the clients’ needs while establishing credibility and building relationships with clients

IT Business Consultant III

Advanced level role. Possesses a broad understanding of developing and resolving operational solutions and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to internal and external clients. Supports several moderately to highly complex projects. Works with business partners across multiple business functions to identify and resolve operational issues, to solve problems or make decisions requiring technical expertise or specialized knowledge. Displays significant knowledge of the business area to resolve problems on an ongoing business. Generally works on multiple projects at a time as a project team member, and occasionally as a project team leader. Typically requires six (6) or more years of experience in a relevant business analysis/consulting role and demonstrated experience as the project team leader for a large project.

Although target pay range may vary by work location, a representative pay range for Colorado resid ents is: $75,000 – $110,000. Eligible to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance and disability insurance, 401(k) plan and employee stock purchase plan. Eligible to participate in the discretionary annual performance bonus. Eligible to participate in a commission plan.
