DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Technical Account Manager ? Data Centers (Application Engineering) to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Power Systems Business Segment in Minneapolis, Minnesota this is a hybrid role.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Participate in the complete sales process reviewing customers specifications, assisting the account managers with product selection and configuration, identifying product gaps, and proposing solutions, creating technical documentation such as CDE responses, submittals, test scripts/reports and training documents, participating in reviews with customers and consulting engineers.
• Provide technical support to customers, strategic suppliers, and other Cummins teams in all aspects of genset application, control, and installation.
• Develop and maintain direct relationships with the engineering groups from our strategic data center clients and key consulting engineers.
• Work in collaboration with other Cummins SMEs and regional teams to develop and conduct educational technical sessions to customers and/or consulting engineers promoting Cummins products, capabilities, and solutions.
• Support Cummins distributors with application design, installation and commissioning questions and issues.
• Work with Service Engineering on complex technical issues affecting Strategic Account customers.
• Provide guidance to product management and technical teams on product requirements.
• Coach and develop other engineers.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines. Masters in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is HIGHLY preferred. Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Significant experience with Power Generation Systems. Knowledge of genset design, manufacture, and test methods a plus.
• Ability to interact and work collaboratively with all levels of customer and supplier organizations and Cummins internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Prior Experience of working with Data Center customers in the Power Generation space is preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
