Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team to install Accuray’s Cyberknife and Tomotherapy systems
  • Work at various customer sites, mostly hospitals, throughout the United States and some international sites
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Field Service, Manufacturing, Training, Physics Support, QA and customer support
  • Extensive traveling within the United States and occasionally traveling internationally
  • Represent the company at our customer sites and interact directly with customers to meet their needs and expectations.
  • 10% of time allocated to compliance and acceptance documentation


a. Required:

  • A technical degree (BSEE or equivalent)
  • Must have exceptional communication and people skills, as well as outstanding technical knowledge
  • Must have experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows 7, Windows 10
  • Experience with diagnostic imaging devices, linear accelerators and/or robotics a plus
  • Knowledge of networking basics
  • Experience using electronic measuring devices such as DMM and Oscilloscope
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical and/or electronic equipment
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Requires excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
  • Able to work productively in a pressurized environment
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work independently
  • Background in analog circuits, digital circuits, and RF theory
  • Experience achieving objectives through cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on work experience in assembly, electrical, and mechanical work
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • This position requires substantial travel, often for 2+ weeks at a time

b. Preferred or Desired

  • Unix/Linux experience a plus
