Job Description

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Supplier Quality Engineer- Technical Advisor to join our team specializing in Quality for our Engine Business Segment in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• High Risk Supplier (HRS) SQI project lead for the assigned components within the scope of Engine Business Unit (EBU) supported VPI projects
• Zero Defect Mentality (ZDM) planning and execution as part of supplier selection, APQP, PPAP & Safe launch for the assigned components
• APQP leadership and oversight on HRS projects by coaching the global SQIEs and suppliers
• Facilitate risk management meetings and define action plans to achieve 1.0 Reliability factor at launch
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to provide leadership and customer updates

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required.
• 7-10+ years of relevant work experience that includes significant supplier quality experience, interpreting drawings, inspection gauges, data analysis, manufacturing processes, etc
• Experience leading projects with a cross-functional team such as sourcing, quality and manufacturing
• Proficient in MS Office and other tools such as PMP, Minitab, APQP, etc.
• Ability to travel domestic and internationally up to 30%

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
