We are looking for a talented Multidisciplinary Optimization Tool Specialist, Computer Framework  to join our team specializing in Engineering Corporate Business Unit/CBS Business Segment in Columbus, IN.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Technical Function Processes and Tools – Executes, improves, trains, coaches and/or manages the Technical processes and tools including standards and best practices that enables knowledge to be re-used and functional deliverables to be met in a quality and productive manner.

* Solution Assessment and Validation – Assesses the proposed solution using the requirements traceability through the life cycle of the requirements to determine if they deliver the desired business outcome.

* Communicates effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

* Requirements Elicitation – Discovers and documents functional and non-functional requirements using the Business Analysis Toolkit (modeling the five aspects and creating use cases) to effectively communicate the business needs and solution characteristics for solution design.

* Troubleshooting – Diagnoses and resolves the customer-identified issue by utilizing appropriate department standards to satisfy customer expectations.

* Optimizes work processes – Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* Three (3) to five (5) years of prior Senior or Lead Engineer experience working directly with cross functional teams.

* Demonstrated track record of solving technical problems, which involves:

* Documenting the current architecture

* Working with stakeholders to define future framework requirements

* Designing and documenting the future architecture

* Assist with the definition of technical requirements for and the support of Cummins Supercomputing systems

 

* College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology required.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
