This position currently allows for some remote work, but will require in-person work once the public health situation allows.

This position is located at the Center for Performing Arts (CFPA) in South Minneapolis. CFPA is a creative ecosystem that supports artists and their work. General Duties:
The Staff Associate is responsible for supporting the CFPA community by providing administrative and operational support to the staff. In addition to supporting organizational priorities, this position will interface with tenants and the public to provide an informed, welcoming and safe community. This position will work closely with and report to the Executive Director, and will likely expand in scope and responsibility in 2021.

Specific Duties:
· Maintain a culture that attracts, retains, and inspires mutual respect and support for all people;
· Help manage and direct questions and inquiries;
· Administrative support for oversight of CFPA operations including leasing, communications, and events.
· Organize, and note-take virtual and in-person meetings with tenants, vendors, partners and others as needed;
· Work with other staff to advance shared responsibilities, meet project expectations, and brainstorm new ideas;
· Assist staff by researching and reporting on new and existing initiatives;
· Organize CFPA archival documents;
· Assist in general office operations as needed;
· Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
· Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a liberal arts field;
· At least 2 years previous experience in arts management or related field;
· Demonstrated track record in competency with detail-oriented work;
· Significant experience working successfully as a member of a team;
· Substantial organizational skills including identifying priorities, executing tasks, and contributing to achieving shared goals;
· Computer literacy in G-Suite and ability / willingness to learn new organizational methods and
technologies for improving operations as necessary;

Abilities:
· Excellent listener;
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
· Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities;
· Ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing;
· Comfortable working both independently and helping others in their goals;
· Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively communicate expectations and timelines;
· Experience working with people from backgrounds and identities different than self.
