We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Optical Design Engineer to join our team!

 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Provide detailed tolerance analysis of optical systems to ensure performance requirements are achieved during manufacturing
  • Model imaging performance including errors from optics and camera noise to understand system entitlement.
  • Work with vendors of standard, OEM, and custom optical components
  • Diagnose optics related system problems and work with other functional groups to troubleshoot
  • Design and execute experiments to understand performance limitations and provide input for next generation solutions.
  • Investigate innovative designs and concepts to support product roadmap

 

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Education: MSc or PhD in Optics, Physics, or EE
  • > 5 years of experience with complex optical systems
  • Experience in design and manufacturing of custom optics
  • Experience with design software such as Zemax, Oslo, or CodeV
  • Solid understanding of imaging theory and microscopy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
