Reports To: Vice President, Technical Strategy and Innovation
Classification: Full-time, non-exempt

How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

The Sr. Coordinator, TSI will provide logistical, administrative, documentation, and programmatic support to the TSI team. They will support TSI leadership (External TA, Catalytic Initiatives and Program Optimization, Innovation, Technical strategies and leadership), coordinate technical assistance (TA) requests through a TA Hub, provide support to document EGPAF’s evidence-based approaches, and periodically support technical assistance assignments. They will also coordinate and organize international conferences for EGPAF.

The TSI team provides support to EGPAF’s country and global programs in HIV prevention, care and treatment, tuberculosis, COVID19 pandemic response, Advanced HIV disease, maternal and child health, community engagement, and health systems strengthening. This unit is responsible for defining EGPAF’s technical strategies, development and implementation of catalytic projects, technical priorities, innovation and providing high-quality assistance to EGPAF’s country programs to implement programs at more than 5,500 health facilities worldwide and explore entry into new countries.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role?

Administrative support (50%)

  • Provide regular support to the TSI VP and Senior Leadership with scheduling, international travel planning, expense reports and other administrative needs
  • Schedule and coordinate TSI meetings, including general team calls, and unit calls; Prepare and distribute agendas, related materials, and logistics
  • Plan and coordinate annual technical meetings in Africa
  • Support planning of team retreats, affiliate meetings, accreditation reviews, and other internal and external meetings
  • International travel to support meetings and conferences 1-2 times per year
  • Other duties as assigned


Documentation support for evidence-based approaches from EGPAF programs: (30%)

  • Support TSI team members to develop program briefs or related documents
  • Conduct periodic literature searches and review of data to support the development of concept notes or manuscripts
  • Support the development and administration of landscape responses from the country team
  • Develop meeting reports and support the development of presentations
  • Review and format PowerPoint presentations and other documents


Periodic technical assistance support: (20%)

  • Provide support to TSI team members on TA assignments
  • Periodically liaise with EGPAF country teams to support the development of program tools/resources


To be successful, you will have:

  • 1-2+ years administrative experience (Admin Assistant, Program Coordinator, etc.)
  • Educational or professional experience in HIV and/or public health
  • Experience planning and coordinating meetings and conferences
  • Experience with communication and information sharing platforms such as SharePoint and MS Teams
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Experience planning and coordinating meetings and conferences in Africa
