Full-Time Solutions Director

Job Description

The Solutions Director will set the vision and guide the direction of the product strategy and development efforts for their solution (s). They oversee the solution’s lifecycle, define the basic requirements, and align the solution vision with the company’s overall vision and strategy. They define markets and strategies based on experience and contact with customers, prospects and internal stakeholders. The Solutions Director must possess a unique blend of business and technology savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. This role must spend time interacting with clients to understand their problems and set solution positioning to grow the market.

The Solutions Director must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. They will work with other company leaders and cross-functional teams to determine the solution needs. One of the most important relationships will be with the VP/GM of the solution. It is important that these roles are aligned on the solution vision and roadmap as well as the resources needed to achieve the expected outcomes. The role also works closely with the marketing and sales departments to define the go to market plans, helping them understand the solution positioning, key benefits and target customer. They will be responsible and accountable for the execution of the solution roadmap and work closely with the engineering team to deliver.
Your Impact:
  • Managing the entire solution line life cycle from strategic planning, tactical execution of the roadmap, launch, and end-of- life
  • Manage and guide a team of solution managers
  • Drive cross-sell focus and initiatives for the solution through integrations and positioning
  • Identify upsell opportunities for the solution
  • Balance the roadmap with the appropriate engineering allocation mix based on solution maturity and target allocations for incremental enhancements, upsell and cross-sell
  • Conduct substantive market research to support solution and marketing priorities with data
  • Analyze potential partner relationships and acquisition opportunities for the solution suite
  • Specify market requirements for current and future solutions by conducting market research supported by on-going visits and meetings with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders
  • Attend user groups, tradeshows, and conferences as necessary to gather information
  • Develop a vision and roadmap for the product Iine
  • Develop a marketing plan and work closely with the Product Marketing Manager to implement and execute
  • Provide input to the sales plan and work closely with sales and client success to help implement and execute
  • Develop a product strategy plan and direct the product management staff to implement and execute
  • Collaborate with the product strategy department to improve existing processes, make recommended changes and enable the team to grow and scale
There is no perfect candidate, but we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree infields relating to business, marketing, or social sciences or comparable experience preferred
  • 8+ years of related industry or position experience such as product management or broad business management
  • Product Management experience required
  • Knowledgeable in marketing trends
  • Experience with market and customer research
  • Strong operational background and track record of making data-driven decisions
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter and results oriented
  • Ability to work effectively within a team

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Estimated Salary Range: $119,100 to $181,100 annually, The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
