Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2022 Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and a 2018-2022 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, has an opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance Analyst that improves and maintains software quality by applying proven analytical and problem-solving skills to validate the implementation of software against functional and technical specifications and assisting other members of the QA team through each testing phase.  The analyst leads or participates in software testing efforts and various other organizational improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for process and data improvement, integrity, quality. and customer service.

More specifically, as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

  • Review and identify gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, designs, and testing documentation for completeness and testability
  • Participate in software design reviews to provide input and identify potential problems
  • Develops QA test plans and project testing estimates
  • Develop test procedures, scenarios, cases, datasets, and scripts to use in testing software
  • Track and report on test status progress across project initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional collaborative problem solving and defect management session and identify priority and impact of defect
  • Participate in functional, regression and performance testing
  • Communicate test results to both technical and non-technical project team members
  • Lead and participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing across organizational releases
  • Contribute to the evolution of the testing tool suite and its evolution in order to maximize tool capabilities and increase testing team efficiencies
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in system use from a control, technique, or process viewpoint and propose changes that may include process redesign and/or system enhancements
  • Ensure that the test bed has appropriate coverage of the functional requirements
  • Update the regression test bed
  • Identify defects during test execution and provide detailed information so that the development team is easily able to recreate the defect
  • Represent Wespath in the external user community

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, finance or in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Three or more years of testing experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance, load, and automated test scripting
  • Experience with HP Quality Center
  • Experience with retirement and health benefit administration
  • Experience with Automated Testing is a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes
