Full-Time Social Media Coordinator – Cambridge, MA

Job Description

CIC is looking for a talented Social Media Coordinator to administer our global social media accounts and manage a team of social media representatives at each CIC location. Reporting to CIC’s Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating a comprehensive social media strategy, developing original copy and video content in collaboration with other members of the marketing team, managing posts and responding to followers. You will be an integral part of the marketing and design team. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

As a Social Media Coordinator, you are up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. Ultimately, you are able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
Additionally, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Performing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
• Designing and implementing social media strategy to align with business goals.
• Setting specific objectives and reporting on ROI.
• Generating, editing, publishing and sharing engaging content on a regular basis (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news).
• Monitoring SEO and web traffic metrics in collaboration with our digital agency.
• Collaborating with other teams, especially local social media reps, events, and relationship management teams, to ensure brand consistency.
• Communicating with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring customer reviews.
• Overseeing social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout).
• Suggesting and implementing new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
• Staying up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
Our ideal candidate is a service-minded individual who is reliable, clever, and able to work independently. It’s not expected that you’ll know everything that we do on day one. What’s important is that you are a bright person, interested in what we’re doing, and willing to learn. We are a team-based company, and you will be evaluated on your performance by the other members of the team.
As our ideal candidate, you:
• Possess hands on experience in content management.
• Have excellent copywriting skills.
• Are able to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
• Have solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
• Bring knowledge of online marketing channels.
• Are familiar with graphic and web design.
• Possess excellent communication skills and are able to express our company’s views creatively.
• Are analytical and have strong multitasking skills.
• At least one year of professional experience.
• The ability to work from your local CIC office as needed.
