Primary Purpose:

Manages and directs major projects within the department. Responsible for the development of work scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements. Prepares, negotiates and approves contracts for contractors or consultants.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates all activities leading to the successful completion of projects including project scoping, timelines, cost estimates and design. Develops and maintains project parameters for project requirements. Provides direction to contractors, consultants, and project team.
  • Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project.
  • Manages related workforce planning, budget analysis, and prepare budget forecasts.
  • Researches and evaluates available contractors and consultants. Prepares, negotiates, and approves or recommends approval of contracts. Negotiates contracts changes.
  • Testifies before and/or prepares supporting documentation for CPUC and other government agencies concerning cost estimates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Business, related field or equivalent training and/or experience. Required
  • 5 Related experience or equivalent experience/training. Required
  • Project management knowledge required.
  • Must be able to assess the potential financial impact of a project to the Company.
  • Must possess the ability to review complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office two to three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Project Management certification is desired.

HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 2-3 days per week.
