We are looking for a talented Sr. Sourcing Specialist join our Corporate team in Columbus, Indiana, US (Remote)
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Be an experienced and proficient negotiator.
• Support purchasing/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.
• Category Strategy Development – Establish category strategy using Total Value Performance approach to define the Supply Base and Technology Strategy to meet all current and future Cummins’ needs; manage risk and inclusion of diverse suppliers.
• Cost Management – Establish and control product and service costs using functional tools to deliver and track product and services at competitive prices; ensure competitiveness of Cummins products in our markets while preserving desired margins.
• Supplier Relationship Management – Manage strategic supplier using agreed process with established work plan, senior sponsor meetings, and scorecards; define and evaluate a collaborative relationship with a Category Partners List supplier to deliver value to Cummins and the supplier.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor degree and Min. 3 years of experience
• Good communication skills
• Able to Handle conflict situations effectively, with a minimum of noise.
• Able to Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
