Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report directly to the VP of Software Engineering, who will be primarily responsible for providing direction and evaluating your performance.
This position is for a senior role within our engineering organization, someone who exemplifies our core values, works well with leadership and fellow engineering team members, and contributes new ideas and constructive feedback, while bringing the experience in frontend and backend technologies needed to enhance and evolve our SaaS interactive mapping product and content management system.
Initial Responsibilities
- Solve wide-ranging problems in creative ways and serve as resource to other team members to resolve complex issues
- Take lead on features and projects while collaborating and seeking input from other senior team members
- Represent the development team through engagement with other parts of the business and with customers as needed
- Architect solutions that consider many factors including scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and usability
- Develop software adhering to the team’s established best practices and processes
- Provide and receive peer code reviews and mentor more junior members of the team
- Act as a resource for the team through a breadth and/or depth of knowledge in technical areas or domain expertise
Requirements
Who You Are (do you identify with a majority of these?)
- You have experience evolving application architectures to improve performance and enable new capabilities and you’re motivated by the challenge.
- You have a desire to build rich, interactive, mapping applications in the cloud using serverless architecture, Docker containers, and microservices.
- You have experience integrating with Single Sign On solutions
- You have significant experience with agile software development and working as part of a collaborative agile team.
- You have worked in an environment that follows CI/CD practices and may have helped a team adopt and improve them.
- You can demonstrate knowledge of computer science principles, preferably with a formal computer science degree.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$140,000 annually. Final compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certification.
