We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to join the team! Our ideal candidate is a motivated, analytical, culturally intelligent, and creative marketer with a strong background in SEO, omnichannel campaigns, and inclusive product marketing.

The Performance Marketing Manager will be responsible for improving acquisition through earned and paid media channels and will supervise three members of the Marketing team: Communications Designer, Events & Partnerships Manager, and the Content and Community Marketing Specialist. They will collaborate closely with other members of the marketing team, as well as our finance, engineering, product, design, and support teams to build and implement key strategic initiatives that drive value for both our customers and our company, in strong alignment with our mission to diversify the tech industry. 

This role is instrumental to helping Treehouse lead marketing efforts with our mission and values first, building and sustaining authentic connections, and reflecting the diverse communities we serve. We’re looking for someone who can take daily, monthly and annual goals and deliver effectively using all channels and resources available. This is a complete marketing role with significant opportunity for bottom-line impact and growth.

This person will be responsible for supervising three members of the Marketing team: Communications Designer, Events & Partnerships Manager, and the Content and Community Marketing Specialist. They will guide their team to drive revenue through growing site traffic, compelling and inclusive messaging and design, and live events. This person will hold weekly 1:1’s with their direct reports, and guide their team toward achieving our quarterly OKRs. At Treehouse, we have a culture that’s focused on building trust. The Performance Marketing Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Growing, monitoring and optimizing our inbound search volume
  • Strategizing on sitewide changes to improve search performance
  • Developing and executing an inclusive, omnichannel approach for marketing campaigns tailored to diverse personas
  • Following and promoting a test-and-learn culture to constantly find new opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Managing marketing team members and their workloads
    • Contribute to their growth through learning and development
    • Provide support and coaching via weekly one-on-one meetings.
  • Leading the development and communication of messaging for diverse audiences
  • Measuring, tracking, and documenting all test results and critical insights
  • Ideating and executing on new product initiatives to drive immediate and sustainable growth
  • Socializing marketing data and insights among Marketing team members and wider Treehouse team
  • Leveraging our CRM tooling (HubSpot) to drive consumer acquisition and revenue
  • Translating strategy, creatives, and messaging into effective communications

We are looking for the following in our ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrated experience in driving performance through organic search channels
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing, distributed team
  • Understands fundamentals of SEO performance and stays up-to-date on algorithm changes that affect performance
  • Ability to create, test, and monitor omnichannel acquisition campaigns built on product personas
  • Experience with data exploration and attribution tools (We use Google Analytics, Excel, Mode, and others)
  • Competitive and creative approach to revenue growth
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on a deadline and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working on a cross-functional team and contributing to all aspects of Marketing campaigns
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical approach with very strong attention to details
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Cultural intelligence, self-awareness, and a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Not required, but nice to have:

  • A track record of working on behalf of brands that are making a positive and measurable impact on the world around them
