LOCATION: This position is 100% remote.

JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
Performs installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of email and messaging products, such as Microsoft Exchange, Cisco ESA appliances, Microsoft 365 products such as Exchange online and Teams. Responsible for the design, configuration, administration, main tenance, and support of email and messaging solutions in a 24×7 environment. May provide email and messaging solutions for clients.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defines the business requirements for the organization’s email and messaging solutions, which involves working with end-users to develop specifications.
  • Performs installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of email and messaging products, such as Microsoft Exchange, Cisco ESA appliances, Microsoft 365 products such as Exchange online and Teams.
  • Evaluates and recommends associated hardware, software and cloud solutions based on the business requirements and user needs.
  • Ensures optimum access to 24×7 email and messaging environment and integration among email and messaging systems.
  • Provides technical leadership in the design, development, and promotion of selected email and messaging strategies.
  • Works closely with Tier one (1) support staff to solve system problems.
  • Provides technical support on email/messaging related issues.
  • Prepares documentation that will assist in the administration and maintenance of the email and messaging environment.
  • May serve as an internal consultant to developers, assisting them in the area of WANs, LANs, and telecommunications concepts as they relate to the email and messaging systems.
  • May be required to be available for after-hours support of email and messaging systems
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience working with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 products such as Exchange online and Teams
  • Experience with Cisco ESA appliances highly desired
  • Skill in messaging automation and scripting using PowerShell and other scripting tools/languages
  • Knowledge and skill in MS Windows operating system in clustered server environments
  • Skill and experience in managing MS Exchange in a clustered environment, Cisco ESA/Ironport cloud and on-prem environments, Amazon SES highly desired
  • Skill and experience migrating a large corporation from one (1) messaging system to another, GSuite to Exchange on-line, tenant to tenant, on-prem to cloud highly desired
  • Solid understanding of DMARC, DKIM,SPF and Encryption highly desired
  • Knowledge and skill in SMTP mail routing, DNS, Linux, and Active Directory a plus (did as a plus because of Linux thrown in there so can share people)
  • Knowledge of basic networking methodologies and techniques
  • Skill and experience in configuration and administration of Microsoft Teams and mobile device management a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with 3rd party CRM tools such as Hubspot and Sendgrid a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
  • Requires high degree of human and customer relations skills
  • Ability to set priorities and multitask issues
  • Ability to work with vendor personnel to resolve problems and issues on behalf of the client or the company
  • Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

Enterprise Messaging Analyst IV

Expert/lead technical role. Expert knowledge of the field. Develops large and/or highly complex solutions that require analysis and research. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or technical leader/consultant. Works on complex tasks, projects or issues that involve a high degree of risk, impacts business unit performance and makes use of the individual’s high level of knowledge within one or more email/messaging/groupware technologies and tools. Coaches and mentors more junior technical staff. Works without supervision on the most complex projects. Complete latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires ten (10) or more years of experience with email/messaging/groupware technologies, tools and hardware/software platforms.

Although target pay range may vary by work location, a representative pay range is $110,000 to $130,000. Eligible to participate in medical, dental and vision insuran ce, life insurance and disability insurance, 401(k) plan and employee stock purchase plan. Eligible to participate in the discretionary annual performance bonus.
