Role description and opportunities:

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support the Chief Growth Officer and CEO of Treasury Services and their respective businesses. The successful candidate will be a strategic HR leader with demonstrated ability to align HR strategies, solutions, services, and programs with the organization’s business strategy. They will serve as a trusted partner and advisor to senior executive management and will be influential in driving organizational change from both a strategic as well as cultural, change management, and employee engagement perspective. This individual will be a proactive, curious, and efficient analytical problem solver with the professionalism and gravitas to interact directly with the senior leadership of the company.

The HRBP will not have a supervisory function. This is an independent yet collaborative role; this Sr HRBP will sit on a team with other HRBPs covering businesses within Investment Services. This is a high touch function with increased exposure to the top of the house. The HRBP will have free reign to create their own brand within the business partner space; a successful candidate will have opportunities for advancement over time.

 

Key responsibilities include the following:

The Senior HR Business Partner will work in a highly collaborative environment to advise leadership on all aspects of HR, to include talent management, organizational design, coaching, performance management, year-end compensation processes, organizational and cultural change, and regulatory compliance and risk management. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering timely HR projects for senior business executives in the organization
  • Building relationships across HR and the business to ensure a full understanding of how HR’s function supports business strategy
  • Serving as subject matter expert (SME) on technical and legal HR matters, leveraging investigative skills and experience with employee relations and labor laws
  • Partnering with Centers of Excellence to drive well thought out, efficient, and effective strategies and processes across the business

 

Competitive Candidate Profile:

  • Ability to proactively identify people implications of function strategies, as well as coach, recommend, and deliver actions
  • Ability to utilize HR and financial data to deliver data-based recommendations and ensure solutions make sense in the context of business strategy and financial performance
  • Continually focused on improving the organization by ensuring HR supports the employees and management while demonstrating business awareness and the need for results
  • Comfortable driving change and developing HR solutions. Will be a credible activist, forward thinker, and thought leader

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or HR certification preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive related experience with demonstrated knowledge of technical and legal aspects of HR, minimum 4 years of collaborative experience with senior management
  • Broad range of experience working in HR
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to articulate logical conclusions from data.
  • Extremely high attention to detail and able to track anomalies across multiple data sets
  • Proactive and self-sufficient, able to work independently
  • Calm under pressure, professional demeanour
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft O365, most importantly advanced in Excel. Ability to learn new HR systems
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Effective relationship management skill set, and able to exercise good judgement
  • Passionate about HR with a strong desire to excel in their career and drive growth through people operations and talent management
