BSUF Advancement Services and IT has an opportunity for a full time Senior Gift Processor.

Ball State University Foundation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our successful and growing team as Senior Gift Processor. This position functions as an integral member of the Advancement Services and Prospect Research team and partners with Foundation staff.

 

This position has significant responsibilities in the areas of gift and date entry to ensure that all gifts and commitments made to the Foundation and supporting organizations are accurately recorded in the donor database.  Assists in establishing and following policies and procedures that determine the proper recording, receipting, and reporting of those gifts according but not limited to the IRS, Foundation, University and the Council of Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) guidelines, along with the best practices in the industry.

This position functions as an integral member of the Advancement Services and Prospect Research team. This position collaborates and partners with Foundation staff to ensure duties are performed in such a manner as to contribute to the success of the department, the Foundation and the University.

Minimum qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent. Three through five years of related experience in higher education or non-profit; financial or accounting experience. Strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize work to meet defined goals and objectives;  experience using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word; ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

 

Preferred qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in higher education, non-profit or financial related field. Experience in a higher education or non-profit environment with an emphasis on gift processing in an advancement or development office; experience using a fundraising database such as Advance or Raiser’s Edge. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact courteously and effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels; excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet defined goals and objectives; strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.
