Full-Time Senior Director – Long Island TASC

Job Description

EAC Network seeks a Senior Director for the Long Island Treatment Alternatives for safer Communities (TASC) program, located in Hempstead, NY. The position is full time, Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM with excellent benefits medical/dental/401K and very generous Paid Time Off (PTO).

Primary Purpose of Job:

The Senior Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of EAC NETWORK’s Long Island Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities Programs and associated projects as well as oversight of assigned staff.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Directly supervise staff.
  2. Handle reporting requirements for assigned programs.
  3. Work with Chief Operating Officer on preparation of funding applications, grants and related administrative submissions.
  4. Cultivate and maintain relationships with officials, funding agencies and community-based agencies and services for assigned programs.
  5. Coordinate grant activities (monitoring achievement of goals, submission of reports and refunding applications).
  6. Assure adherence to program standards and compliance with contractual performance goals and expected program revenue.
  7. Develop and implement new systems and policies necessary to enhance program(s) operations.
  8. Customarily and regularly exercises discretionary powers.
  9. Oversee program planning, development, and expansion. Ensure that program services are delivered in a highly professional manner.
  10. Direct hiring, supervision and when necessary, termination of staff members. Provide guidance which allows for individual growth of employees.
  11. Monitor program budgets in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer.
  12. Attend significant meetings related to LI TASC and associated programs.
  13. Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer on personnel matters, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Complete evaluations for subordinate staff.
  14. Assist with presentations, liaison with officials and facilitate public education activities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice or a related field required.
  2. Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a not-for-profit setting required.
  3. Must have knowledge of local criminal justice systems.
  4. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  5. Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
  6. Valid NYS Driver’s License and access to automobile required.

This position requires the incumbent to provide acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination or undergo weekly PCR Testing.
