Full-Time Senior Director, Health Economics Modeling & Simulation
HEOR is a Business Unit within Parexel Regulatory & Access Consulting and comprises professionals including service line leaders and recognized experts covering all aspects of health economics modeling, evidence evaluations, analytics and outcomes research. The HEOR Modelling team is a dedicated team within HEOR with staff based across global locations including UK, US, Sweden and India.
This team focuses on the development of Health Technology Assessment compliant cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses of drugs and devices. It also includes wider forms of modelling such as early economic models, payer value tools, and country adaptations. Projects employ mathematical, statistical, economic and operational research modelling techniques applied to the evaluation of drugs and devices in a wide range of health conditions. The team works closely with the other parts of Parexel Access and Regulatory Consulting, such as Pricing and Market Access, Real-World Evidence, Regulatory Consulting and Study Design & Operations.
The Senior Director is a senior member of the HEOR Modelling team and has a leadership role in the organization.
The Senior Director will act as site head for the London office HEOR team and their primary responsibility is mentoring, providing technical leadership and training to junior staff. As a senior leader within HEOR, the Senior Director is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, writing and defending proposals, generating and advocating thought leadership pieces, and for overseeing the delivery of projects on time and to a high quality. The Senior Director will also have line management responsibilities for consultants and senior consultants within the team and be accountable for creating and monitoring new business.
They are an instrumental part of keeping the team at the forefront of innovation in HEOR and building the team’s reputation externally.
A successful candidate will possess:
At least a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science.
Evidence of in-depth understanding of the design and implementation of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models for pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
Substantial hands-on experience in health economics and outcomes research activities gained in consultancy or pharma/biotech.
Fluent English and outstanding communication skills.
Experience in other parts of pharma, such as Pricing and Market Access, Real-World Evidence, Regulatory Consulting and Study Design & Operations, is a plus.
Appetite and skills for leading and developing people.
Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
High degree of enthusiasm and self-motivation.
Evidence of a high level of proficiency in project management and business development.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
