Full-Time Senior Camera Systems Engineer
Job Description
Owl Labs is hiring a Senior Camera Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience with all aspects of camera system development. This role will be a key part of a highly collaborative team developing camera and image processing systems.
What You’ll Do
In this role you will drive the development of novel camera systems that enable our groundbreaking remote collaboration tools. Based on various inputs, you will define architectures, select components, and design components that meet customer needs.
- Perform system-level analysis and modeling of camera and image processing systems.
- Define system architecture, requirements, and tests for camera systems.
- Work the the team to develop signal processing algorithms.
- Define selection criteria and drive selection of architectures and key components.
- Work with the operations team to:
- Define and bring up production processes.
- Identify and manage relationships with suppliers and external development resources.
- Follow industry trends and technologies to keep our designs at the forefront of what is possible.
Qualifications
- BS in a relevant field (EE, ME, CS, or Physics).
- 7+ years of experience with camera systems development.
- Strong experience and familiarity with the following technologies:
- Optics and Lenses
- CMOS Image Sensors
- Image signal processing with ISPs and/or FPGAs
- Experience with transitioning designs into volume production.
- Experience with building relationships with component suppliers.
- System level thinker who can also be detail oriented.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to travel internationally.
The Best Candidates Will Have:
- Experience with ISP programming.
- Experience with FPGA design.
Owl Labs is over 40% remote and headquarters are based in Boston, MA. This role can be either an on-site or remote position. Please specify in your application. Our team is currently working 100% remote due to COVID-19.
