Full-Time Salesforce Administrator – Posted by Anywhere

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join our growing team (~60 staff at present). You will maximize the potential of our Salesforce environment and help us scale our efforts to raise $200 million to power progressive grassroots organizing and voter turnout efforts over the next two years. You will join the team as we migrate our donor database from a legacy system to Salesforce and play a critical role in the migration, working closely with staff in the Product & Technology Department, the Development Division, and with external Salesforce migration consultants. Once the migration is complete, you will be the primary steward of our Salesforce environment and work to continually improve it to help our team work effectively, efficiently, and with insight into the data they need.
This position lives within the Product & Technology Department, which is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining technology products and systems across the organization and helping people use them with ease and delight. You will report to the Director of Product & Technology. You will work closely and collaboratively with team members in other departments who will use Salesforce in their day-to-day work.

Position responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary system administrator for our new Salesforce environment, including Nonprofit Success Pack and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement.
  • Coordinate with Salesforce migration and setup consultants during migration of development data from legacy donor database (Bloomerang).
  • Develop and administer proper user access controls.
  • Maintain integrations between Salesforce and other data tools and systems, including Actblue, Mobilize America, and iWave — and research, scope, and help acquire or develop new integrations as needs emerge.
  • Design effective reports and dashboards to analyze data and address user needs of the Development Division and across the organization.
  • Create documentation on Salesforce configuration and proper use of the Salesforce environment by other team members.
  • Train new users on how to use Salesforce.
  • Troubleshoot user issues with kindness and timeliness.
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
  • Conduct surveys, discussion groups, and other user research to help determine how systems should be improved.
  • Lead on setting and implementing the product roadmap for changes and improvements to our Salesforce environment and integrated tools.
  • Monitor data quality and integrity to help ensure data is entered and updated correctly.
  • Help evaluate whether we should expand beyond using Salesforce as a donor CRM primarily used by the Development Division, and additionally use Salesforce as a grant-making CRM for the Program Division.
  • Help with other Product & Technology Department projects as-needed.

Required qualifications:

  • Certified Salesforce administrator with minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content using declarative tools.
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Ability to distill complex processes into clearly-written, easy-to-follow explanations.
  • Ability to quickly achieve proficiency with new procedures, systems, and software tools.
  • Commitment to racial equity and inclusion.
  • Experience working collaboratively with team members of different cultural backgrounds and identities.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced remote workplace.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience configuring and administering NPSP
  • Experience working with Tableau or similar Business Intelligence data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Clickup or similar project management tools
  • Work and/or volunteer experience with Progressive organizations or causes

Compensation: This is a full-time, salaried position with a base salary range of $80,000 – $95,000, commensurate with skills and experience, with generous benefits including employer-paid medical and optional dental and vision insurance, basic life insurance, 401(k), regular work-from-home and wellness stipends, and 4+ weeks of paid vacation, plus holidays.
