CIC Philadelphia is located within uCity Square at 3675 Market Street, alongside our local partner, the University City Science Center, as well as our Cambridge-based partner, BioLabs. As a Relationship Manager you will serve as a member of the CIC Sales Team and work with prospective clients to determine if CIC is the right place for them to start their business.
As part of the Philadelphia Relationship Management team, you will:
• Provide general support to your team by helping to address daily inbound inquiries from prospective clients via email, phone, or in person inquiries.
• Manage a client portfolio of approximately 30-70 companies and provide oversight to assist clients in getting the most out of their experience at CIC. For example, as a client’s business evolves, so too does their need for office space, and you will be responsible for helping them find the right solution.
• Engage (or lead team) to develop strategy to and implement outbound prospecting through proactive conversations with relevant audiences. For example, dedicating a couple hours/week to outbound efforts.
• Create effective sales materials to encourage prospect interest.
• Refine the relevant value proposition of CIC, and network into the appropriate decision-makers.
• Develop understanding of client profiles for each product (coworking, office, labs, events, etc.). Work with marketing to develop effective outreach, and create strategies to proactively reach leads in these profiles.
As part of the work of supporting our clients’ experience of CIC, you will also assist with various types of general support including:
• Leading tours for prospective clients and informational groups, such as students or visiting delegations.
• Providing support at the local and global level for the evaluation and roll out of specific initiatives such as marketing campaigns, client engagement activities and lead generation.
• Providing support to CIC’s operations teams when situations arise that do not require direct Relationship Manager decision-making or advice.
• Being a resource for building relationships within the community and a partner for resolving complex situations with other staff members and clients alike.
• Daily administrative tasks such as tracking details related to client contracts and monitoring and updating insurance requirements.

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of professional experience, ideally in client-facing roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A natural interest in helping/supporting others.

• Starting compensation is $53,619.
