What You’ll Do

Reporting directly to the VP of Sales & Marketing, you will play a crucial role in our strategic retail approach, focusing on true partnerships with retailers and leveraging the viral marketing success of our brand.  An opportunity to learn from our strong team of marketers, investors, and advisors, you will have a chance to quickly expand your skill set and experiences.  Not only will you cultivate and grow existing accounts by building deep relationships (you make current clients feel seen and supported, and you anticipate their future needs before they’ve realized it themselves), but also you will build new pipelines nationwide. You don’t care whether you have to pick up the phone, write an email, or go to meet in person–you are relentlessly persistent in your pursuit of connecting with people where they’re at. You’ll collaborate with your manager to meet and exceed incredibly ambitious sales goals. This challenge and opportunity excites you.

Some Specifics:

New Business

  • Lead outbound prospecting, qualifying, and opportunity creation to grow new pipelines: you love picking up the phone and/or “pounding the pavement” to find and close strong leads.
  • Create a quarterly plan to meet and exceed your sales goals. Monitor and analyze metrics and KPIs with the aim to increase productivity. Manage and update sales activities in our CRM.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to ensure proper alignment on account coverage, target personas, opportunity quality.
  • Maintain a strong articulation of Vacation Inc.’s product value, and in-depth knowledge of both existing products and products in the pipeline, as well as competitor products and industry trends.
  • Identify potential new retail opportunities, including places that don’t typically stock sunscreen and SPF products.
  • Create new sales materials: update decks, line sheets, and any other collateral needed for success.
  • Work with the VP of Sales to create and maintain our corporate gifting program, partnering with HR managers of aligned companies to gift staff through giveaways and wholesale sales. 

Cultivation 

  • Cultivate relationships with existing customers to stoke the partnership & deliver above and beyond customer service: they may not need to order new products, but do they want to collaborate to throw a party? Run an ad campaign?
  • Create a toolbox of tactics to make customers feel great. These tactics grow relationships and accounts across the country. Your customers from Hawaii to Key West feel seen by you, and they never doubt that you sincerely care about them and their business (because you sincerely do!).
  • Support retail partner training with creation of training materials and leading virtual and in person training sessions.
  • Create a tight feedback loop with the product development team to communicate and deliver on trends in customer feedback or needs; this will include supporting forecasting efforts and communication processes.

Order Support

  • Be there to guide customers from the moment their order is placed to the moment a downstream sale is made: tracking fulfillment & delivery every step of the way and  providing their business and team with the knowledge, collateral, and skills training to make a successful sale.
  • When a customer’s orders are not processed and received seamlessly, you are proactively communicating with both the fulfillment center and the customer so no one feels overlooked or forgotten. 

 

Who You Are

When you aren’t hustling at work, your natural extroversion compels you to build connections everywhere you go and/or you’re bringing joy and levity into every space you enter. 

You have a deep appreciation for strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution (with humor, when appropriate!), as well as an innate analytical ability that allows you to make data driven decisions. You thrive working in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with ambiguity.

You Can Also Have or Can Demonstrate…

  • 1+ years in sales or sales development.
  • experience with CRM and project management technology: we use HubSpot and Asana (or platforms similar to these).
  • effective presentation and listening skills- and the ability to bring humor and joy into your relationships.
  • experience using pipeline management software.
  • achievement oriented AND humble mindsets: you aim for above and beyond as a rule AND no job is too small. You see anything that contributes to the company’s success as a personal success.
  • the ability to drive results: consistently achieving results, even under hard circumstances.
  • experience in the hospitality field. Strategic and hospitality-first mindset: seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies and value for the customer.

Preference will be given to applicants based in Miami, FL, LA, and the New York Metropolitan Area.
