Full-Time Residency Program Associate

Job Description

Erie Family Health Centers is looking for an independent, strategic and focused individual like you to join our Family Medicine Residency Program Team! As the Residency Program Associate you will perform varied administrative and residency management duties in support of the Family Medicine Residency Program for McGaw Northwestern University as well as support for various administrative, non-clinical duties for Humboldt Park’s Erie Family Health Center.

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships and acts as liaison to outside partners and internal departments regarding resident seasonal events, program letter agreements/non-mcgaws, and monthly rotations as directed by Program Coordinator
  • General Administrative duties such as preparing agendas and providing minutes for regular meetings such as monthly resident/ faculty meetings, ongoing faculty meetings, weekly team meetings and other occasional meetings as they occur
  • Meet regularly with the Program Coordinator and/or Program Director concerning office management issues, activities and the status of various projects. May collaborate to assure compliance with ACGME requirements
  • Collaborate with faculty for the enforcement of policy/procedure changes. May also assist with program level policy development

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • 2 years of administrative experience in a university or hospital environment or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which similar skills can be acquired
  • Prior residency experience desirable, but not required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills: must be able to communicate promptly and professionally to several levels of various organizations and coordinate communication between individuals including supervisors as well as assistants
  • Administration and organization: must be able to create and organize systems on multiple levels including tracking data, evaluations, meetings, lectures, curriculum, complex schedules, etc. to assist in maintenance of accreditation as well as day to day functioning of residency program
