Full-Time Research Assistant

AnLar is looking for a highly-motivated, proactive problem solver with strong critical thinking and communication skills to join our growing team. The Research Assistant will provide support across several of the research team’s projects which range from descriptive statistical analyses to program evaluations across multiple sites.

What the job entails:

  • Synthesizing and summarizing information from a variety of sources (e.g., articles, reports, datasets, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Using datasets to create basic tables and graphs (no advanced statistical knowledge required!)
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and manage various data collection activities
  • Supporting business development efforts including assisting with proposal coordination and contributing to strategic planning activities for the research team
  • Supporting and further developing the team’s quality assurance processes for deliverables by ensuring consistency throughout reports, proofreading, and providing other review support as needed 
  • Helping to keep the team organized and on track across projects by creating and maintaining a team-wide calendar or tracking system for major project activities and deliverable due dates

  • Is able to effectively and efficiently weave order out of chaos. You are curious and enjoy analyzing lots of information and drawing conclusions, identifying gaps, and summarizing for others. 
  • Has strong writing skills and tailors writing to different audiences — from email communication to publications for clients. 
  • Is a team player. This means you are willing to jump in and step up when the team needs help. You foster collaboration with others. 
  • Is organized and able to keep track of shifting priorities and stay on top of deadlines while working on multiple projects.
  • Has strong communication skills. This means you make sure the team is informed of progress and stays on track. You are proactive in your communication by raising issues and proposed solutions early and often. 
  • Is open to giving and receiving feedback. 
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree.
