Job Description

We are looking for a talented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Corporate Business Unit in your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• This position is responsible to support the literature release/change process for PSBU/Fridley; needs to communicate with supplier the new prints updating blanket purchase orders and keeping right information updated in production systems.
• Proactively contacts suppliers to maintain pertinent data, obtain needed documentation, and enable suppliers in purchasing systems.
• Participate in Project teams, when necessary, to ensure effective implementation of change.
• Ensure data integrity of all purchasing information as it is created.
• Action oriented – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• Sourcing – Utilizes the purchasing functional system to support the Request For Quote process and establish a Total Cost of Ownership comparison of suppliers based on the category strategy and define the supplier that is most likely to meet Cummins and customer’s needs.

• To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent is required
• 1+ year of relevant professional experience
• Experience using Microsoft office including excel, PowerPoint, and word required.
• Prior purchasing systems experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
