Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Psychologist Associate for the Mabley Developmental Center located in Dixon, Illinois to participate in on-the-job and in-service training on the Units. Assigned controlled work assignments of increasing difficulty, complexity and responsibility. Receives training in how to interview individuals and their families to determine medical condition and to develop treatment goals and plans. Receives training in how to conduct individual counseling services with assigned individuals. Receives training in how to administer, score and interpret psychological screening tests and other evaluation instruments.

Job Responsibilities
1. Participates in on-the-job and in-service training on the Units.
2. Serves as a member of the Treatment Team to discuss treatment plans and progress.
3. Receives training in how to administer, score and interpret psychological screening tests and other evaluation instruments.
4. Attends assigned committee meetings and provides input into meeting goals of committee.
5. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires possession of a master’s degree in psychology from a recognized college or university.

1. Requires the ability to write clear and cohesive summaries of counseling sessions.
2. Requires physical ability to access various work sites throughout the Center to attend meetings and confer with individuals and other professional staff.
3. Requires the ability to physically restrain individuals as necessary to prevent injury to individual or others.
4. Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends and holidays.
5. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
6. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
7. Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
