We are seeking a self-directed and results driven Project Technical Support Engineer to join our team. You will assist and support the pre-sale development internal and external, pre-bid, support internal implementation of project, and post-sale documentation. The key focus will be electric and steam turbine drive centrifugal chillers and applications support.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Review Plans, Specifications, Inquiries, and Requests to develop equipment selections data.
  • Support internal implementation of centrifugal chiller orders and projects.
  • Provide technical support for the sales of steam turbine and electric drive chillers to customers and their respective consulting engineers.
  • Support new business opportunities in responding to RFQ’s for new and/or existing customers.
  • Maintain project records and perform the works in accordance with company procedures.
  • Work within a team to achieve the project and divisional goals.
  • Produce and maintain project records and perform the works in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, and to make decisions in a reasonable quick amount of time.
  • Possess a combination of excellent technical skills, self-starter, with business understanding, self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers.

Education / certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years’ experience
  • Master’s degree with 5+ years’ experience

Experience / qualifications:

  • 7 plus years of HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC designs – Commercial Applied Equipment experience a plus. Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, sense of ownership is required
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with ability to work well with both external customers and a multi-functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates
  • Good follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
