Position Summary

The USA Triathlon (USAT) Project Manager will be instrumental in driving and tracking the organization’s business priorities and key performance indicators.  The Project Manager will support the assessment of organizational performance, development of goals and implementing processes that improve effectiveness.  This position will oversee Data Analytics and will be responsible for reporting and analyzing data and metrics across the organization to drive success.  This position will also oversee growth areas of the business including a newly formed Youth Program as well as current constituent growth activities.  Additionally, the Project Manager will be the project lead on major organizational projects overseeing management of working groups, research, analysis, and recommendations.  Working across all departments, the Project Manager should have strong leadership skills, collaboration experience, the ability to lead meetings, projects, and presentations with the skills to problem solve, effect change, and propose business improvements.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of annual business plans for USA Triathlon’s growth, including annual objectives, short term priorities, and specific milestones and tactics for fully realizing the objectives
  • Report weekly on organizational performance, noting areas of risk and opportunity, with recommendations for getting back on track, pivoting, or adding to current priorities
  • Work across the organization at every level to better understand where priorities are off-track and develop solutions and timelines to present to Leadership for getting back on track
  • Audit and make recommendations on departmental operational processes and resource allocation to align with organizational objectives more efficiently and effectively
  • Oversee the Data Analytics team and working closely together to report and analyze the data and key metrics to drive organizational success
  • Assess and monitor market trends to identify opportunities for growth and effectiveness
  • Lead organizational projects from start to finish, including research, planning, implementing, and managing proposed recommendations and projects
  • Supporting marketing strategies to promote products and services and communicate value to constituents and consistently analyze data to assess their effectiveness
  • Oversee the Youth and Growth team to deliver significant growth initiatives and metrics across youth programming and constituent acquisition
  • Develop and managing department and project budgets, including monthly variance reporting, and forecasting
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree, business management preferred, 5+ years of related work experience
  • Leadership experience managing a full-time team and direct reports
  • Experience leading and or working in data analytics
  • Proven project management experience
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software/digital functionality such as database management, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and social media.  Experience with Tableau is preferred.
  • Extremely personable with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak and present in front of both small and large groups
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture and understand how individual actions can affect the organization’s goals.
  • Willingness to travel and work additional hours as necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment as part of a team atmosphere, including effective coordination with members of other departments
  • Experience within, or knowledge of, the multisport or endurance industries is beneficial but not required

Additionally, this position is located in Colorado Springs where our team is working a hybrid in office/at home schedule.

Additional Job Information:

Hiring Pay Range: $55,000-$65,000

This is a full time, exempt position.
