Marioff North America (Marioff, Inc), a business unit of Marioff Oy, and part of the Carrier Global Corporation, is searching for a Project Support/Applications Engineer for our growing Land Business team, supporting Marioff HI-FOG water mist solutions. Marioff specializes in providing water mist solutions to several different vertical markets including, but not limited to Data Center, Cultural Heritage, Power Generation and Distribution, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas (POG), Food/Industrial Cooking, and Industrial Manufacturing, just to name a few!

Description:
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to help support our channel partners, end users, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s), Fire Protection Engineers, etc with the application, design, and technical support on our Marioff HI-FOG water mist systems.

Responsibilities:
Perform project and applications engineering and product technical support for Marioff North America:

Provide various different levels of technical support for our channel partners, end users, AHJ’s, fire protection engineers, etc on Marioff products
Create project budget, proposal, schedule, plan and report regularly on status from a project management perspective for some of our OEM accounts to management
Must be physically able to travel to sites to perform site audits, verify proper installation, and commission Marioff HI-FOG Water Mist systems.
Collaborate with all respective channel partner and end user representatives to develop project timeline, design requirements, and commissioning tasks, as needed
Create AutoCAD drawings to include piping isometrics, P&IDs, general equipment diagrams, flow calculations, and other design tasks required to appropriately convey the proper use and installation of Marioff HI-FOG Water Mist equipment in the field.
Provide timely and accurate responses to customer’s technical questions.
Review and verify all required project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract or project scope requirements
Responsible for completing tasks and assignments both independently and collectively with other team members
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Educational requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 5 years of relevant fire protection technical experience, or equivalent.

Qualifications:
Proven working experience as a project engineer
Knowledge of the sprinkler industry, design and installation practices, a plus
Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software, such as AutoCAD
Experience in mechanical engineering, industrial applications, flow calculations, and knowledge of NFPA standards (specifically NFPA 12, 13, 20, 25, 750 and 770) and Carbon Dioxide Systems is highly desirable.
Customer Focused
Ability to work independently to find answers utilizing the various resources available to them in order to support technical position and design concepts for various project or technical inquiries.
Excellent time management and organization skills will be necessary to achieve a successful conclusion to each project.
Ability to work on projects from a multi-disciplinary approach
Working knowledge of MS Office software applications.
Communication and comprehension skills will be required to succeed in this position.
Travel Requirements
Minimum 20 – 30% Travel.
